Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - June 20, 2026

Double SCORE weekend continues through Monday June 22, doubling all challenge rewards and keeping Treasure Hunter Mole Miners active across Appalachia. Daily Ops sends you to Watoga Raider Arena for Uplink mode against Fanatics with Piercing Gaze, Active Camouflage, and Volatile mutations. Today's challenges focus on plants, fungi, Floaters, and Scorched, with P.R.O.T.E.C.T. Protocol cosmetics still free in the Atom Store through June 23.

Active Events Today

Double SCORE, Double Mutations, Treasure Hunter and Legendary Sale

June 18 – June 22, 2026

All SCORE rewards are doubled through Monday's 12:00 PM ET reset — today's full daily slate is worth up to 11,000 SCORE if you complete every challenge including the Gold Star. Mole Miner Treasure Hunters continue spawning across Appalachia; kill them for Treasure Maps, then dig the marked locations to uncover buried loot caches with rare plans and materials. Legendary items remain discounted at vendors for the duration of the event.

Banded Axolotl — June Axolotl of the Month

June 2 – July 7, 2026

The Banded Axolotl is this month's catchable species, found only in the Mire and Toxic Valley at Small Fish spots near water. With 17 days left in the window, head to either region's waterways for reliable spawns.

LocationWatoga Raider Arena
EnemiesFanatics
MutationsPiercing Gaze + Active Camouflage + Volatile

Mutation breakdown:

  • Piercing Gaze — Enemy attacks bypass a portion of your damage resistance; Power Armor provides reduced mitigation compared to a standard run, so lean on healing and movement over tanking.
  • Active Camouflage — Enemies cloak when not actively attacking or being hit; use VATS or area-of-effect attacks to detect and reveal invisible targets before they reach the uplink points.
  • Volatile — Enemies explode on death, dealing area damage; step back before the killing blow to avoid chained detonations, especially in Watoga's enclosed corridors.

Strategy: In Uplink mode, activate and hold both uplink points to advance the objective. Fanatics are human-faction raiders who attack in numbers with ranged weapons, so prioritize crowd control near the objectives rather than letting enemies accumulate. Active Camouflage complicates positioning — keep VATS ready and use splash weapons to reveal cloaked enemies flanking the uplinks. When clearing clustered enemies, create spacing before landing the final hit to minimize Volatile explosion chains; explosion-resistant armor helps if you're taking multiple detonations per wave.

Today's Daily Challenges

ChallengeSCORE
Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6)2000
Mod a Ballistic Weapon500
Complete a Grunt Hunt (x2)500
Cook a Meal with Plants or Fungi (x5)500
Eat a Plant-based Meal (x10)500
Harvest a Wild Plant or Fungi (x12)500
Kill a Floater (x3)500
Kill a Scorched (x10)500

Quick completion tips:

  • Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) — Complete any 6 of the 7 non-Gold-Star challenges to unlock this. With Double SCORE active the Gold Star pays out 4,000 SCORE. Routing through the Mire or Toxic Valley stacks plant harvesting, cooking, eating, and Scorched/Floater kills in a single loop, making six completions straightforward.
  • Mod a Ballistic Weapon — Visit a Weapons Workbench and apply any modification to any ballistic weapon (pistols, rifles, shotguns, and heavy ballistic weapons all qualify). A single mod application completes the challenge.
  • Complete a Grunt Hunt (x2) — Grunt Hunt is a specific Daily Ops mode. Today's featured Daily Ops is Uplink at Watoga Raider Arena; if Grunt Hunt is not available as an alternate mode selection on your Daily Ops terminal, track the daily rotation and run Grunt Hunt mode on the days it appears to complete two runs.
  • Cook a Meal with Plants or Fungi (x5) — Use a Cooking Station to craft five recipes that call for plant or fungi ingredients, such as Vegetable Soup, Cranberry Jam, Mushroom Soup, or Radstag Stew. The Mire and Toxic Valley have dense harvestables near Banded Axolotl fishing spots.
  • Eat a Plant-based Meal (x10) — Consume 10 plant-based food items; items cooked for the challenge above count immediately if consumed right after crafting, letting the two challenges progress together.
  • Harvest a Wild Plant or Fungi (x12) — Gather 12 wild plants or fungi directly from the world. The Mire and Toxic Valley are rich with Bloodleaf, Silt Bean, Glowing Fungus, and Starlight Creeper — a single sweep through either region covers 12 harvests while also supporting the cooking and eating challenges.
  • Kill a Floater (x3) — Floaters are mutated Super Mutant servants found at Super Mutant camp locations. Reliable spawn points include Grafton Steel in the Forest region and Huntersville in the Savage Divide. Three kills completes the challenge.
  • Kill a Scorched (x10) — Scorched appear throughout Appalachia; the Ash Heap and areas east of the Toxic Valley have high Scorched density. Ten kills completes the challenge quickly in any Scorched-heavy zone.

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3) — Earn the Gold Star each day by completing 6 dailies; doing so on three days this week satisfies the weekly. Today's plant-and-hunt challenge set is completable in one efficient outing.
  • Kill a Mole Miner (x30) — The active Treasure Hunter event keeps Mole Miner Treasure Hunters spawning in elevated numbers across the map through June 22. Farm kills now while density is high; 30 is very achievable before Monday's reset.
  • Complete a Grunt Hunt (x10) — Grunt Hunt is a specific Daily Ops mode; track the daily rotation across the week and run Daily Ops on the days Grunt Hunt is active to accumulate the 10 required completions efficiently.
  • Kill a Rust Raider (x30) — Rust Raiders appear at raider-faction locations throughout Appalachia. Concentrate on high-density spawn points and server-hop to reset enemies once a location is cleared.
  • Buy an item from or Sell an item to another Player (x15) — Visit player vendor CAMPs and purchase 15 items (cheap individual items each count), or set up your own CAMP vendor and let passive sales progress the tally.
  • Consume an Alcoholic Beverage (x20) — Craft alcohol at a brewing or fermenter station, or loot it from raider camps and kitchens. Bulk-crafting before a play session lets you knock out all 20 in one sitting.
  • Craft any Plushie at a Tinkerer's Bench (x3) — Requires a Plushie plan (Brahmin Plushie, Radstag Plushie, Mirelurk Plushie, or others) and the correct crafting materials. Confirm both the plan and components are in your inventory before heading to the bench.
  • Scrap junk to produce Acid (x15) / Scrap junk to produce Adhesive (x15) — Acid comes from Abraxo Cleaner, Bag of Fertilizer, and Coolant; Adhesive from Wonderglue, Economy Wonderglue, and Duct Tape. Bulk-collect from containers and scrap at any workbench.
  • Mod an Energy Weapon (x5) — Apply modifications to energy weapons at a Weapons Workbench 5 times. Prepare weapon and mod components before visiting the bench to avoid multiple trips.
  • Collect Caps (x2500) — Public Events, selling legendaries during the active Legendary Sale weekend, and looting safes and lockboxes all contribute. With Double SCORE bringing more players into events today, public event participation is especially productive.
