Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - June 09, 2026

Active Events Today

P.R.O.T.E.C.T Protocol - Community Challenge

June 7 – June 15, 2026

The P.R.O.T.E.C.T Protocol Community Challenge is ongoing — keep clearing Infestations across Appalachia to push the server toward the 500,000 target and earn the Brotherhood Protector Power Armor reward before June 15.

Mutated Public Events

June 9 – June 16, 2026

Mutated Public Events begin today at and run through Tuesday June 16 reset. Public Events across Appalachia now have a chance to spawn with random mutations that increase difficulty and boost rewards — directly relevant to today's daily challenge and three weekly challenges.

Minerva (List 14) at Crater — Last Full Day

June 8 – June 10, 2026

Minerva wraps up at The Crater at Wednesday noon ET reset — today is your last full day to shop List 14 plans before she moves on. Full inventory in the Minerva section below.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeDecryption
LocationCharleston Capitol Building
EnemiesBlood Eagles
MutationsSavage Strike, Swift-Footed

Mutation breakdown:

  • Savage Strike: Enemies deal increased melee damage — Blood Eagles that close to melee range hit significantly harder than normal, so keep them at range throughout.
  • Swift-Footed: Enemies move at increased speed — Blood Eagles rush the objective faster than their baseline, so securing a choke point before triggering the decryption sequence is critical.

Strategy: Decryption mode requires locating the objective terminal and defending it through the decryption sequence against incoming enemy waves. Charleston Capitol Building's multi-floor layout has several doorways and stairwells — identify a chokepoint near the terminal to funnel Swift-Footed Blood Eagles rather than fighting in open corridors. Blood Eagles are a human faction using ballistic weapons and grenades, so armor with explosive resistance is helpful. Pre-clear the room around the terminal before activating it, then hold the nearest entrance to prevent enemies from flanking the objective.

Today's Daily Challenges

ChallengeSCORE
Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6)1000
Build a Decoration in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. in Free Cam (x5)250
Destroy a Robot (x10)250
Collect RadAway or Rad-X (x5)250
Complete a Mutated Public Event250
Cripple a Human's Head (x2)250
Kill a Mutated Enemy (x10)250
Mod an Energy Weapon250
Scrap junk to produce Ballistic Fiber (x3)250

Quick completion tips:

  • Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6): Complete any six of the other eight dailies — chaining the Mutated Public Event, Kill a Mutated Enemy, and Cripple a Human's Head challenges together in one event run knocks out three at once.
  • Build a Decoration in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. in Free Cam (x5): Enter Free Cam mode (hold the CAMP placement button until you enter the free-placement view) and place five decorations — candles, paintings, or rugs all count. Placing in a Shelter also works.
  • Destroy a Robot (x10): Protectrons, Assaultrons, Mr. Handys, and Robobrains all count. Watoga (Protectron and Assaultron street patrols), RobCo Research Center, and West Tek are reliable spots for 10 quick robot kills.
  • Collect RadAway or Rad-X (x5): Loot first aid kits, medicine cabinets, and military footlockers. AVR Medical Center, Morgantown Airport medical tents, and Pleasant Valley Ski Resort's medical areas yield high densities.
  • Complete a Mutated Public Event: Mutated Public Events launched today — participate in any Public Event that spawns with the mutated modifier. This simultaneously counts toward the Weekly "Complete a Mutated Public Event (x3)."
  • Cripple a Human's Head (x2): Target the head in VATS on any human enemy (Raiders, Blood Eagles, Fanatics). A single heavy rifle shot or sniper round to the head is the fastest method; today's Decryption Daily Ops against Blood Eagles also applies.
  • Kill a Mutated Enemy (x10): Any enemy tagged as "mutated" in VATS counts — Mutated Public Events running today produce mutated enemies alongside the event completion challenge, making both completable in a single event.
  • Mod an Energy Weapon: Apply any mod at a weapons workbench to any laser, plasma, or gauss weapon — one mod application on any energy weapon completes this. This also counts toward the Weekly "Mod an Energy Weapon (x5)."
  • Scrap junk to produce Ballistic Fiber (x3): Ballistic Fiber scraps from Military Grade Duct Tape, Ballistic Fiber scraps, and Military Ammo Bags. Fort Defiance, Camp McClintock, and Watoga military containers are consistent sources.

Weekly Challenges

ChallengeReward
Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3)1500 SCORE
Repeatable Under Rank 100: Gain XP (x10000)100 SCORE
Repeatable at Rank 100 or above: Complete a Public Event (x3)300 SCORE
Build a Decoration in a Shelter (x15)1000 SCORE
Collect Pre-war Food (x20)1000 SCORE
Collect RadAway or Rad-X (x15)1000 SCORE
Collect Soap (x14)1000 SCORE
Complete a Mutated Public Event (x3)1000 SCORE
Cripple a Human's Head (x25)1000 SCORE
Kill a Mutated Enemy (x30)1000 SCORE
Mod an Energy Weapon (x5)1000 SCORE
Scrap junk to produce Glass (x30)1000 SCORE

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3): Earn the daily Gold Star on three separate reset days this week — today's challenge set has multiple stackable tasks that make all six easily completable in a single play session.
  • Build a Decoration in a Shelter (x15): Enter a Shelter and place 15 decoration items — candles, rugs, wall art, and furniture all count. Batch-placing in one session is faster than returning daily. Note this is distinct from the daily challenge (which requires Free Cam in a Workshop or CAMP).
  • Collect Pre-war Food (x20): Pre-war food items (Sugar Bombs, Pork n' Beans, Cram, Salisbury Steak) spawn in kitchens, diners, and offices. Whitespring Resort kitchen zones and the Mire's abandoned homes are consistent high-density sources.
  • Collect RadAway or Rad-X (x15): Overlaps with today's daily (x5) — farm medical cabinets and first aid kits at AVR Medical Center, hospital zones, and military camps to knock out both at once.
  • Collect Soap (x14): Soap spawns in bathrooms and kitchen areas of residential buildings. Whitespring Resort suites, Flatwoods houses, and Morgantown residential streets are the most efficient routes.
  • Complete a Mutated Public Event (x3): Mutated Public Events are live today through June 16 — run three mutated events across the week. Today's daily challenge "Complete a Mutated Public Event" counts as one completion toward this weekly.
  • Cripple a Human's Head (x25): Today's Decryption Daily Ops at Charleston Capitol Building (Blood Eagles) is an efficient source — VATS-targeting heads throughout the run stacks meaningful progress. Any human faction enemy counts.
  • Kill a Mutated Enemy (x30): Overlaps with today's daily (x10). Mutated Public Events running all week produce mutated enemies — farming events daily will clear this well before the weekly reset.
  • Mod an Energy Weapon (x5): Today's daily "Mod an Energy Weapon" counts as one. Return to a weapons workbench on up to four additional days this week and apply any available mod to an energy weapon to finish the five.
  • Scrap junk to produce Glass (x30): Glass scraps from Nuka-Cola bottles, wine bottles, Empty Bottles, and Glass Jars. Kitchen and bar areas at Whitespring Resort and along the Forest highway corridor yield large quantities of glass-bearing junk.
