Active Events Today
P.R.O.T.E.C.T Protocol - Community Challenge
June 7 – June 15, 2026
The P.R.O.T.E.C.T Protocol Community Challenge kicks off today at and runs through June 15. Each day delivers a free Atom Shop item — today's reward is the Mr. Fuzzy Head (clean); claim it from the Atom Shop before tomorrow's reset. Minerva (List 14) opens at Crater beginning June 8 at noon ET if you're planning ahead.
Today's Daily Ops
| Mode | Decryption |
| Location | The Burrows |
| Enemies | Mole Miners |
| Mutations | Savage Strike, Volatile |
Mutation breakdown:
- Savage Strike: Mole Miners deal significantly increased melee damage — avoid letting them close the gap.
- Volatile: Enemies explode on death — spread out and never cluster when a Mole Miner is about to go down.
Strategy: Decryption mode requires locating the USSA Data Cache terminal and defending it while the decryption completes. The Burrows' tight underground corridors make Volatile explosions especially punishing — use ranged builds and keep teammates spaced apart to prevent chain blasts from downed Mole Miners. Savage Strike means any enemy that does reach melee range hits hard, so prioritize killing priority targets at distance and use AP Refresh or Thorn Armor to control spacing. Clearing the surrounding tunnels before triggering the cache defense helps reduce pressure from multiple directions.
Today's Daily Challenges
| Challenge | SCORE |
|---|---|
| Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) | 1000 |
| Kill a Corrosive Stingwing (x2) | 250 |
| Complete a Daily Quest | 250 |
| Take a Camera Picture of an Eyebot | 250 |
| Collect Purified Water (x5) | 250 |
| Harvest a Slipper Cactus (x5) | 250 |
| Cripple enemy limbs (x6) | 250 |
| Scrap a Pipe Gun (x3) | 250 |
Quick completion tips:
- Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6): Complete the other seven daily challenges and the Gold Star fulfills automatically — knock out the easier ones first (Purified Water, Pipe Gun scrapping, Daily Quest).
- Kill a Corrosive Stingwing (x2): Corrosive Stingwings spawn in swampy and wooded areas of the Mire and Cranberry Bog regions — head east/northeast on the map and watch low-lying, wet terrain.
- Complete a Daily Quest: Pick up any available daily from an NPC; Sunny's quests in Flatwoods, Wren at Foundation, or quest boards at Raiders/Settlers settlements all count.
- Take a Camera Picture of an Eyebot: Eyebots patrol roads and near settlements across the map — common near Flatwoods and Camden Park. Equip your Camera and snap one in Photo Mode; you don't need to target it first.
- Collect Purified Water (x5): Craft at a cooking station using a water purifier output, or loot vending machines and vendor bots near major settlements.
- Harvest a Slipper Cactus (x5): Community reports confirm the Slipper Cactus appears in-game labeled as a "Prickeye" plant — look for it in dry biome areas. Search carefully since the in-game name differs from the challenge text.
- Cripple enemy limbs (x6): Shotguns and rifles aimed at legs are most effective for crippling. Low-level Scorched or Feral Ghouls are fast to chain through.
- Scrap a Pipe Gun (x3): Pipe weapons drop from low-level enemies or can be bought cheaply from NPC vendors — scrap at any Weapons Workbench.

| Kill an Enemy during an Infestation while on a Team (x10) | 1000 SCORE |
| Sell a Weapon to an NPC vendor (x15) | 1000 SCORE |
Quick completion hints:
- Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3): Earn the daily Gold Star (complete 6 daily challenges) on three separate days this week — it pairs naturally with daily play.
- Build light sources in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x9): Candles, lamps, and wall lights all count; build in batches at your CAMP or a claimed Workshop to hit 9 quickly.
- Collect a Board Game (x4): Board games are found in residential interiors — try Whitespring Resort rooms, Flatwoods homes, and houses in the Savage Divide or Forest.
- Collect a Burnt Book (x25): Burnt Books appear in libraries, schools, and abandoned homes across Appalachia — Morgantown High School and Charleston area buildings are reliable farming spots.
- Complete an Infestation while on a Team (x5) / Kill an Enemy during an Infestation while on a Team (x10): Infestations are the team event added in Patch 68 — find them on the map, group up with other players, and both challenges progress simultaneously.
- Craft Ammo at a Workbench (x250): Craft any ammo type in bulk; .38 or 10mm rounds are cheap to mass-produce at an Ammo Workbench.
- Craft any Chems (x6): Stimpaks, RadAway, or Rad-X all count — six crafts go fast at a Chemistry Station.
- Kill a Mirelurk (x30): Mirelurks are common at Point Pleasant, Tyler County Fairgrounds, and along river/swamp zones in the Forest and Mire regions.
- Sell a Weapon to an NPC vendor (x15): Sell cheap looted or vendor-bought weapons to any NPC trader (not player vending machines) — keep a stack of pipe weapons to cycle through.
