Active Events Today

Banded Axolotl (June Axolotl of the Month)

June 2, 2026 – July 7, 2026

June's monthly axolotl is the Banded Axolotl, catchable only in the Mire and Toxic Valley regions. Head to any fishing spot in those regions and equip your fishing rod — catch rate is approximately 3%. Claim the matching Banded Axolotl Plushie for free from the Atomic Shop through July 7.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeDecryption
LocationUncanny Caverns
EnemiesRobots
MutationsSavage Strike, Danger Cloud

Mutation breakdown:

  • Savage Strike — Enemies deal significantly increased melee damage when their health drops low; finish robots quickly rather than letting them bleed out at low HP.
  • Danger Cloud — Robots release a toxic gas cloud on death; step back from a robot you are about to kill to avoid standing in the expanding cloud.

Strategy: Decryption mode requires you to locate the hidden data cache, then remain in the immediate area while it decrypts — do not wander from the cache once you have triggered it or the progress stalls. Use ranged weapons to keep robots at distance and avoid point-blank Danger Cloud exposure. When a robot reaches low health, deal a final burst from range and back up immediately before the cloud spreads. The combination of Savage Strike and Danger Cloud makes close-quarters melee or shotgun playstyles significantly more punishing here than in a standard Daily Ops run.

Today's Daily Challenges

ChallengeSCORE
Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6)1000
Rank up a Perk Card250
Catch a Fish in the Savage Divide Region (x2)250
Complete an Infestation250
Kill an Enemy during an Infestation (x3)250
Kill an Enemy in the Savage Divide Region (x5)250
Take a Camera Picture at Nuka-World On Tour250
Use Photomode while in a Team250

Quick completion tips:

  • Rank up a Perk Card: Open your Perk Card menu and rank up any card using Perk Coins — scrapping duplicate perk cards earns the coins needed.
  • Catch a Fish in the Savage Divide Region (x2): Fish at any water source within the Savage Divide — the lake near Spruce Knob or the river near the Palace of the Winding Path are reliable spots. Note: the new Patch 68 fish species are not catchable until June 23; existing fish species satisfy this challenge.
  • Complete an Infestation: Find an Infestation marker on your Paper Map, or join an Exploration Public Team and fast-travel to a teammate already at a location. Defeat the boss to complete it.
  • Kill an Enemy during an Infestation (x3): Clearing the mob waves before the boss satisfies this quickly — you do not need three separate Infestations.
  • Kill an Enemy in the Savage Divide Region (x5): Combines naturally with the fishing run; shoot any enemy encountered while traveling to or from your fishing spot in the Savage Divide.
  • Take a Camera Picture at Nuka-World On Tour: Fast-travel to Nuka-World On Tour, equip your camera from the weapons wheel, and take one photo — any subject counts.
  • Use Photomode while in a Team: Join any public team and open Photomode once — completing this in the same session as the camera challenge saves time.

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge (x3): Today's Gold Star requires completing 6 of 7 daily challenges in one day; repeat across three reset days to finish the weekly.
  • Build light sources in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x9): Place oil lanterns or wall sconces at your CAMP — they cost minimal resources; place nine in one session, scrap, and rebuild if you are short on budget.
  • Collect a Board Game (x4): Houses in Flatwoods, Charleston, and Morgantown have reliable Board Game spawns; knock this out on the same run as Burnt Books.
  • Collect a Burnt Book (x25): Today's daily challenge (x2 fish, x5 kills in Savage Divide) and the weekly Burnt Book targets are separate — but the daily (x10 burnt books from yesterday) stacks with the weekly counter each day. Charleston Capitol Building, Grafton, and Morgantown High School offer the densest spawn clusters. See the community tip thread in Reddit below for specific room routes.
  • Complete an Infestation while on a Team (x5): Stay on an Exploration Public Team throughout the week — fast-traveling to teammates who locate Infestations is the fastest way to chain five completions.
  • Craft Ammo at a Workbench (x250): Any ammo type counts at a tinker's workbench — .38 or 10mm rounds use common junk and hit 250 in a single bulk crafting session.
  • Craft any Chems (x6): Craft Stimpaks or Rad-X one at a time at a chemistry station; any chem type counts, six crafts total.
  • Kill a Mirelurk (x30): Server-hop Summersville Lake, Riverbend Station, or Point Pleasant shores for the densest Mirelurk spawns; pair sessions over multiple days.
  • Kill an Enemy during an Infestation while on a Team (x10): Directly overlaps with the x5 Infestation team completion weekly — five team Infestations will max out both challenges simultaneously.
  • Sell a Weapon to an NPC vendor (x15): Keep low-value pipe pistols or combat knives from daily play and sell them one at a time to any NPC merchant to accumulate vendor transactions throughout the week.
