Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - May 30, 2026

Big Bloom and Gold Rush both running through the weekend — last days to farm before Tuesday's reset. Decryption Daily Ops at Watoga Raider Arena with Super Mutants, Savage Strike and Group Regeneration mutations active. Expected changes for the Infestations update (Patch 68) published today ahead of Tuesday's launch.

Active Events Today

The Big Bloom Event

May 19 – June 2, 2026

The Big Bloom enters its final weekend — Tuesday's reset at 12:00 PM ET closes the event for good. Farm the Big Bloom public event for Overgrown and Beezlebub kills to close out the weekly challenge (20 kills) and knock out today's Big Bloom daily challenge in the same run.

Gold Rush

May 28 – June 1, 2026

Gold Rush is boosting Gold Bullion rewards from select activities through Monday. Run Daily Ops and associated dailies now to bank extra bullion before the bonus expires at Monday's reset.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeDecryption
LocationWatoga Raider Arena
EnemiesSuper Mutants
MutationsSavage Strike, Group Regeneration

Mutation breakdown:

  • Savage Strike — Enemies deal bonus melee damage on close-range attacks; stay out of arm's reach and use ranged weapons to avoid punishing hits from Super Mutant swings.
  • Group Regeneration — Enemies regenerate health when near other enemies; reduce group sizes quickly before regen outpaces your damage output, or apply AoE damage to chip multiple targets simultaneously and disrupt the healing cycle.

Strategy: Watoga Raider Arena is an outdoor arena venue in Watoga, Cranberry Bog, giving you open sightlines to engage Super Mutants at range before they close the distance. In Decryption mode, eliminate enemies to progress the objective — prioritize tight clusters to maximize AoE effectiveness while keeping Savage Strike attackers at a safe distance. Group Regeneration makes drawn-out fights costly; focus one target at a time to eliminate it before the pack's healing undoes your damage, and reposition frequently to break line-of-sight between grouped enemies.

Quick completion tips:

  • Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) — Complete all eight dailies in a single session; the Gold Star bonus fires automatically once any six individual challenges are done.
  • Cripple a Super Mutant's Head (x2) — Today's Daily Ops at Watoga Raider Arena spawns Super Mutants; use VATS to target the head and land two crippling hits without leaving the ops location.
  • Collect a box of Sugar Bombs — Sugar Bombs spawn in kitchen and dining areas; reliable spots include the Whitespring Resort dining rooms, Flatwoods houses, and Charleston kitchens. Player vending camps often stock them cheaply as well.
  • Complete the Event: "The Big Bloom" — The Big Bloom public event is actively running through Tuesday; join an instance via the event map icon and complete it for the challenge credit.
  • Eat Pre-war Food (x5) — Pre-war food items (Sugar Bombs, Cram, Fancy Lads, Blamco Mac & Cheese, Instamash) are common in kitchen and store spawn points; collect and eat any five. The Sugar Bombs from the box challenge count here too.
  • Kill a Deathclaw — Deathclaws spawn reliably at the Charleston Capitol Building rooftop, at Deathclaw Island north of Berkley Springs Station, or at Devil's Backbone in the Forest region.
  • Kill a Wendigo — Wendigo Cave in the Savage Divide offers a guaranteed encounter; Wendigos also spawn at Clancy Manor and at scattered locations across the Savage Divide.
  • Scrap Pre-War Money (x5) — Pre-War Money is common junk found in offices, houses, and shops throughout Appalachia; five pieces can be gathered in minutes from any populated area and scrapped at any workbench.

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3) — Earn the Gold Star on three separate days this week by completing at least six dailies per day; each day's full challenge slate makes that straightforward.
  • Repeatable Under Rank 100: Gain XP (x10000) — Big Bloom public events and daily quest chains deliver solid XP chunks; run multiple event instances this weekend while the event is still active for fast progress.
  • Repeatable at Rank 100 or above: Complete a Public Event (x3) — The Big Bloom public event counts; three completions can be done in a single play session this weekend before the event ends Tuesday.
  • Buy an item from or Sell an item to another Player (x15) — Visit player vending camps and buy cheap bulk junk or food items; each individual buy or sell transaction counts, so small purchases across multiple vendors accumulate quickly.
  • Collect Purified Water (x25) — Industrial water purifiers at your C.A.M.P. or a claimed workshop produce multiple bottles per harvest cycle; set up two or three and collect periodically through the week.
  • Collect Stimpaks or Chems (x20) — Loot hospitals and first-aid boxes; Watoga Hospital and Grafton General are reliable high-density sources.
  • Collect a Board Game (x4) — Board games spawn in residential homes and recreational buildings; Charleston, Flatwoods, and Summersville houses have consistent spawns.
  • Consume any Chems (x9) — Use Buffout, Mentats, Jet, or similar chems from your inventory across the week; stimpaks do not count toward this challenge.
  • Kill a Beezlebaby or Beezlebub during The Big Bloom Event (x20) — This is The Big Bloom's final weekend; run repeated event instances before Tuesday's reset to reach 20 kills. Both Beezlebaby and Beezlebub count toward the total.
  • Kill a Cultist (x25) — Cultists spawn at ritual sites and Mothman cult locations in the Forest, including near Point Pleasant and Kanawha Nuke-Site; the Eye of the Storm event also reliably spawns Cultist clusters.
  • Scrap junk to produce Bone (x15) — Kill Snallygasters, Deathclaws, Mole Rats, or Rad Scorpions and loot their bone junk; bring it to any workbench and scrap to count toward the 15 required.
  • Sell Yao Guai Ribs to an NPC vendor — Kill any Yao Guai (found in the Forest and Savage Divide), loot the Yao Guai Ribs, then sell them to any NPC vendor such as the Whitespring vendor or Responders in Flatwoods.
