Active Events Today

The Big Bloom Event

May 19 – June 2, 2026

The seasonal insect event continues with Beezlebabies and the Beezlebub boss spawning throughout the public event. Running The Big Bloom once satisfies the daily completion challenge and chips away at the weekly 20-kill requirement simultaneously.

Gold Rush

May 28 – June 1, 2026

Gold Rush begins today at — all Gold Bullion sources pay 50% more until June 1. Convert Treasury Notes at the exchange station during this window for maximum yield before the bonus ends Monday.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeDecryption
LocationArktos Pharma Biome Labs
EnemiesBlood Eagles
MutationsSavage Strike, Active Camouflage

Mutation breakdown:

  • Savage Strike — Enemies deal significantly increased melee damage; keep your distance from Blood Eagle brawlers and avoid letting them close the gap.
  • Active Camouflage — Enemies can turn invisible and reappear to strike; watch for the shimmer effect on approach and use VATS to track them through stealth.

Strategy:

Arktos Pharma Biome Labs has multi-floor interiors where Blood Eagles can flank under Active Camouflage. Position yourself in doorways or at stairwell choke points so cloaked enemies can only approach from one direction. Bring a Perception-boosting food buff or the Awareness perk to spot invisible targets earlier. In Decryption mode, activate each data node quickly then fall back to a defensible position — do not stand near nodes in open areas while Blood Eagles converge.

Kill a Mole Rat (x5)250

Quick completion tips:

  • Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) — complete six other dailies first; the Gold Star then auto-completes and counts toward the weekly Gold Star requirement.
  • Complete the Event: "The Big Bloom" — also knocks out weekly Beezlebaby/Beezlebub kill progress; run it once to satisfy both at the same time.
  • Kill a Mole Miner (x10) — head to the Ash Heap; Mole Miners cluster in Lewisburg, Beckley, and around Garrahan Mining Headquarters for fast counts.
  • Kill a Mole Rat (x5) — Mole Rats spawn reliably at Uncanny Caverns in the Savage Divide and in and around Sunnytop Ski Lanes.
  • Scrap junk to produce Springs (x5) — typewriters, alarm clocks, desk fans, and push brooms all yield Springs; offices at Charleston Capitol Building have high item density.
  • Scrap junk to produce Antiseptic (x5) — Abraxo Cleaner is the most common source; find it in grocery stores and laundry rooms throughout Appalachia.
  • Eat a Cake, Pie, or Candy (x10) — Pre-War Cake, Hard Candy, Gumdrops, and Sugar Bombs all qualify; check vending machines, convenience stores, and kitchen counters throughout Appalachia.

Quick completion hints:

  • Kill a Beezlebaby or Beezlebub during The Big Bloom Event (x20) — run the Big Bloom public event multiple times this week; Beezlebabies spawn in groups during the event and count toward the total.
  • Kill a Cultist (x25) — Mothman Cultists reliably appear at Landview Lighthouse in the Forest region and around the Mothman Museum in Point Pleasant; both respawn quickly on a new server hop.
  • Scrap junk to produce Bone (x15) — bone shards drop from animal carcasses; the Fort Defiance hospital wing and Charleston Capitol morgue both have skeletal remains that yield bone on scrapping.
  • Sell Yao Guai Ribs to an NPC vendor — hunt Yao Guai in the Cranberry Bog or near Prickett's Fort, cook the raw meat at a cooking station into Yao Guai Ribs, then sell to any NPC vendor such as Grahm or the Foundation vendor.
  • Collect a Board Game (x4) — board games appear in houses, ski lodges, and cabins; Pleasant Valley Cabins and Top of the World are reliably stocked.
  • Buy an item from or Sell an item to another Player (x15) — purchasing small, cheap junk items from other players' CAMP vendors counts; visit a populated server and run a few stops to knock out the count efficiently.

Atom Store

Current rotation for the week of May 26 — the Mothman-themed bundles dominate this rotation alongside several individual items.

  • The Wicker Mothman Bundle — 1,500 Atoms
  • Mothman Weather Bundle — 1,500 Atoms

  • Purple Axolotl Plushie — Free (all players through June 2)

Claim the Purple Axolotl Plushie before June 2 — it leaves the free offers alongside The Big Bloom Event.
