Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - May 25, 2026

The Big Bloom keeps Appalachia in full flower through June 2, today's Daily Ops sends you to Morgantown High School for Uplink duty against Mole Miners under Piercing Gaze and Danger Cloud mutations, and the May 22 Weekend Atom Shop sale closes at today's reset.

Active Events Today

The Big Bloom Event

May 19 – June 2, 2026

Giant hostile flora have taken root across Appalachia, spawning waves of Overgrown enemies and insects at rotating map locations. Run the event to knock out multiple overlapping weekly challenges — Overgrown kills, insect kills, and event completions all count simultaneously.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeUplink
LocationMorgantown High School
EnemiesMole Miners
MutationsPiercing Gaze, Danger Cloud

Mutation breakdown:

  • Piercing Gaze — Enemies detect players through stealth at all times; sneak-based builds lose their detection advantage entirely for this run.
  • Danger Cloud — Poisonous clouds spawn periodically in random areas of the map, dealing ongoing poison damage to anyone caught inside.

Strategy: Mole Miners deal solid melee and thrown-explosive damage, so prioritize defense or put distance between you and them with ranged weapons. In Uplink mode, locate the data terminals as quickly as possible and focus on uploading rather than fighting — clear only enemies directly blocking your path. When a Danger Cloud appears, the visual toxic haze is your cue; reposition immediately rather than tanking through the poison.

Quick completion tips:

  • Collect a Teapot (x2) — Check kitchens and countertops in Sutton, Flatwoods, or the Morgantown residential streets; teapots appear reliably in houses and diners.
  • Collect Mirelurk Eggs (x3) — Head to Lakeside Cabins or Briney's Bait & Tackle near Lake Eloise; mirelurk nests there consistently yield eggs on every server visit.
  • Collect a Teddy Bear (x3) — Schools, hospitals, and homes throughout The Forest are stocked with teddy bears; the Morgantown High School Daily Ops run today may surface a few inside the building.
  • Complete an Event — The Big Bloom is active at multiple locations simultaneously; join it for event credit and progress the Overgrown kill challenge in the same run.
  • Cook Roasted Mirelurk Meat (x3) — Kill mirelurks at Lakeside Cabins or the river east of Flatwoods, then cook the raw mirelurk meat at any cooking station or at camp.
  • Kill a Mirelurk (x5) — Same waterfront spots as the egg run; Lakeside Cabins and the area north of Flatwoods fill this quickly alongside egg collection.
  • Kill an Overgrown during The Big Bloom Event (x3) — Overgrown enemies are the plant-based hostiles that spawn at The Big Bloom event locations; join any active instance and clear them to complete this.

  • Build light sources (x9) — Place floor lamps, lanterns, string lights, or spotlights in your CAMP or a captured workshop; any light-emitting buildable object counts toward the nine needed.
  • Collect Caps (x2500) — Loot containers, sell excess junk and weapons at NPC or player vendors, and complete events; the Fortune Finder perk card further accelerates cap pickup from containers.
  • Collect a Teapot (x5) and Collect a Teddy Bear (x9) — Stack with the daily teapot and teddy bear challenges; residential areas of Sutton, Flatwoods, Morgantown, and Charleston respawn collectibles on server hop.
  • Complete the Event: "The Big Bloom" (x5) — The event runs at multiple map locations simultaneously and has a short enough cooldown that server hopping lets you chain completions efficiently.
  • Kill a Mirelurk (x30) — Lakeside Cabins in The Forest and Spruce Knob Channels in the Savage Divide have dense mirelurk spawns; run both locations across a couple of sessions.
  • Kill an Insect during The Big Bloom Event (x30) — Fireflies and Stingwings spawn at The Big Bloom event alongside Overgrown; every insect killed during an active Big Bloom instance counts.
  • Plant a Crop (x25) — Open your CAMP build menu under Resources > Plants and place 25 plantable crops total; Tato, Mutfruit, Corn, and Silt Bean all count.
  • Sell Scorchbeast Steak to an NPC vendor — Kill a Scorchbeast to collect Scorchbeast Meat, cook it into Scorchbeast Steak at any cooking station, then sell one unit to any NPC merchant (Foundation, Crater, or Whitespring vendors all work).
