Overgrown, Beezlebabies, and boss Beezlebub spawn each run; completing it five times satisfies a weekly challenge, and killing 30 insects during the event counts toward another. Purple Axolotl (May 2026)
May 5 – June 2, 2026
The purple axolotl spawns in Skyline Valley and Cranberry Bog through June 2. With the Big Bloom running in the same zones, you can knock out fishing challenges and axolotl hunting in a single trip.

Mutation breakdown:
- Piercing Gaze — Enemies have heightened Perception; their ranged attacks are more accurate and partially bypass your damage reduction.
- Toxic Blood — Enemies release a toxic cloud on hit or death. Stay mobile and avoid clustering on a dying target.
Strategy: Uplink mode requires you to upload data packages at terminal objectives; enemies will rush the terminal while you interact. Position yourself with a clear sightline to the terminal and sweep Scorched before starting each upload. Toxic Blood makes melee stacking risky — favor mid-range weapons and step clear immediately after kills. Piercing Gaze punishes low-health, low-armor builds, so pop a Stimpak before engaging waves rather than after.

- Take a Camera Picture at the Starlight Drive-In — Fast-travel to Starlight Drive-In (Forest region, southeast of Vault 76) and snap a photo with any camera equipped in your inventory.
