Double Mutations are active during Daily Ops and public events through (Monday 12 PM ET). Mole Miner Treasure Hunters are spawning across Appalachia — check vendor machines to purchase Mole Miner Pails and squeeze extra rewards from every treasure map you turn in.

Mutation breakdown:
- Active Camouflage — Enemies can turn invisible mid-fight, making direct targeting unreliable; use VATS or AoE attacks to detect and damage cloaked Fanatics.
- Volatile — Enemies explode on death dealing area damage; maintain distance from dying Fanatics and avoid clustering to minimise splash damage taken.
Strategy: Vault 94's tight corridors amplify Volatile explosions, so spread out rather than stacking on the Decryption terminal. Stay close enough to contest the objective but sidestep before landing a killing blow to avoid the Volatile blast. VATS is your best tool against Active Camouflage — watch for audio cues and visual shimmer effects to locate cloaked enemies if your AP runs dry.

- Craft a Grenade, Mine, or Thrown Weapon (x5) — Craft 5 Fragmentation Grenades at a Chemistry Station using Steel, Spring, and Adhesive — cheap materials found almost anywhere.
- Craft any Chems (x2) — Craft 2 Stimpaks or Radaway at a Chemistry Station; both require only common materials like Steel and Antiseptic.
- Cripple a Super Mutant's Leg (x2) — Use VATS to target legs specifically on Super Mutants; Huntersville (Savage Divide) and West Tek Research Center are reliable spawns.
- Kill a Mutant Hound (x3) — Mutant Hounds roam with Super Mutant groups; head to Huntersville or Grafton Steel for quick kills.
- Complete an Event — Any public event counts; Treasure Hunter Mole Miner events are plentiful today and also satisfy the Mole Miner Pail grind.
