Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - May 10, 2026
Spooky Scorched enters its final days, Scrip Surplus ends tomorrow at noon ET, and Daily Ops runs Uplink at Uncanny Caverns against Fanatics with Piercing Gaze and Resilient mutations active.
Active Events Today
Spooky Scorched Event
April 28 – May 12, 2026
Spooky Scorched spawn across Appalachia, dropping Spooky Candy Bags and seasonal rewards. Only two days remain after today — hunt them across any region before the event ends Tuesday, May 12 at noon ET.
Scrip Surplus
May 7 – May 11, 2026
The daily Legendary Scrip cap at the Rusty Pick is increased, making this the best window to cash in stockpiled legendary weapons and armor. Ends tomorrow, May 11 at noon ET — don't let your legendaries sit untraded.
Today's Daily Ops
| Mode | Uplink |
| Location | Uncanny Caverns |
| Enemies | Fanatics |
| Mutations | Piercing Gaze, Resilient |
Mutation breakdown:
- Piercing Gaze: Enemies have greatly increased Perception; stealth approaches are largely negated — expect to be spotted at range and through partial cover.
- Resilient: Enemies revive once after being downed; deal a quick follow-up shot or use AoE damage immediately to permanently eliminate them before they stand back up.
Strategy: Uncanny Caverns is a compact cave system in the Savage Divide — use its tight corridors to funnel Fanatics rather than letting them spread and flank you. In Uplink mode, locate the terminal and initiate the data upload; position yourself near it and hold the area as enemy waves flood in until the transmission completes. With Resilient active, track every downed Fanatic and confirm each kill immediately — a moment's distraction leaves an enemy back on their feet ready to fight again.
Today's Daily Challenges
| Challenge | SCORE |
|---|---|
| Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) | 1000 |
| Eat a Cobbler, which is not a Pie | 250 |
| Complete an Event while in a Team | 250 |
| Consume a "Vintage" Alcoholic Beverage | 250 |
| Drink Nuka-Cola Quantum (x2) | 250 |
| Kill an Angler (x3) | 250 |
| Kill an Enemy in the Savage Divide Region (x5) | 250 |
| Scrap junk to produce Adhesive (x5) | 250 |
Quick completion tips:
- Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6): The Gold Star auto-completes once you finish 6 other daily challenges during the same reset day — knock out the cheaper ones first.
- Eat a Cobbler: Craft Apple Cobbler or Blackberry Cobbler at any cooking station using fruit; cobblers are distinct from pies in the crafting menu.
- Complete an Event while in a Team: Group up before entering any public event; Eviction Notice, Line in the Sand, and Rad Rumble are reliable and quick options.
- Consume a "Vintage" Alcoholic Beverage: Look for beverages with "Vintage" in the name among alcoholic drinks; check upscale locations like the Whitespring Resort or check player vendor machines.
- Drink Nuka-Cola Quantum (x2): Nuka-Cola Quantum spawns at Nuka-World on Tour and as world loot throughout Appalachia; also available at player vendors.
- Kill an Angler (x3): Anglers spawn reliably in the Cranberry Bog wetlands — try the river areas near Prickett's Fort or the eastern Mire border.
- Kill an Enemy in the Savage Divide Region (x5): Fast-travel to Top of the World or Mountainside Bed & Breakfast; robots, Wendigos, and Fanatics in the area all count — today's Daily Ops at Uncanny Caverns (Savage Divide) doubles toward this challenge.
- Scrap junk to produce Adhesive (x5): Scrap Wonderglue, Duct Tape, or Military Grade Duct Tape found as common world loot; each unit of junk scrapped contributes to the count.

Quick completion hints:
- Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3): Earn the daily Gold Star by completing 6+ daily challenges per day; repeat over 3 days this week.
- Repeatable Under Rank 100: Gain XP (x10000): Public events and Daily Ops each award several thousand XP; Eviction Notice and Radiation Rumble are efficient repeatable options.
- Repeatable at Rank 100 or above: Complete a Public Event (x3): Check the world map for active public events; Scorched Earth, Radiation Rumble, and Eviction Notice all scale well at high levels.
- Build a Floor, Wall, or Roof in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x25): Place individual wooden floors or walls in your C.A.M.P. one piece at a time; each separate placement counts once toward the total.
- Catch a Fish while it is Raining (x2): Server-hop until you find a server with active in-game rain, then fish at any valid fishing spot; Cranberry Bog and Skyline Valley both have fishing locations and also count toward the May Purple Axolotl hunt.
- Collect a Burnt Book (x25): Burnt Books appear as common loot in pre-war buildings throughout Appalachia; Charleston Capitol Building, schools, and libraries have reliable clusters.
- Complete an Event while Wearing a Costume (x2): Equip any apparel item tagged as a Costume in your Apparel menu before joining a public event; Spooky Scorched seasonal costumes still qualify while the event is active.
- Consume an Alcoholic Beverage (x20): Brew Nuka-Shine or Appalachian Ale at a brewing station; drink multiple in one sitting to knock out a large portion of the count quickly.
- Destroy a Robot (x30): The Whitespring Resort grounds and Enclave research sites in the Savage Divide have dense robot spawns; run the exterior loop at Whitespring for efficient counts.
- Kill a Mole Miner (x30): Head to the Ash Heap — Mount Blair, Lewisburg, and the surrounding mine pit areas have abundant Mole Miner spawns.
- Scrap junk to produce Cloth (x30): Scrap Pre-War Money (yields Cloth) along with wool and fabric items; Pre-War Money is common loot in most pre-war residential and commercial buildings.
- Scrap junk to produce Cork (x15): Scrap Wine Bottles found in kitchens, restaurants, and bars throughout Appalachia; each wine bottle yields Cork when scrapped.
