EnemiesMothman Cultists
MutationsSavage Strike, Active Camouflage

Mutation breakdown:

  • Savage Strike — Enemies deal increased melee damage; Mothman Cultists that close to melee range hit harder than expected, so maintain distance.
  • Active Camouflage — Enemies periodically turn semi-invisible; watch for the shimmer effect or footstep audio cues to track their position.

Strategy: Decryption mode requires killing enemies near marked terminal locations to collect decryption keys, then interacting with those terminals to advance the objective. Prioritize clearing the area around each terminal before starting the interaction to avoid being interrupted. Because Savage Strike amplifies melee hits, keep Mothman Cultists at range — rifles, shotguns, or explosives work well here. When an enemy goes invisible from Active Camouflage, stop moving and listen for footsteps or watch for the distortion shimmer; VATS can also help auto-target camouflaged enemies if your AP allows.

Today's Daily Challenges

ChallengeSCORE
Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6)1000
1st: Craft Ballistic Ammo (x25)250
Collect any flavor of Nuka-Cola (x5)250
Craft any Plushie at a Tinkerer's Bench250
Drink Nuka-Cola (x3)250
Kill an Enemy in the Burning Springs Region (x5)250
Kill an Enemy with any Pistol (x8)250
Take a Camera Picture at Nuka-World On Tour250

Quick completion tips:

  • Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) — Knock out any six other dailies first; the Gold Star reward stacks on top and also counts toward the weekly Gold Star challenge.
  • 1st: Craft Ballistic Ammo (x25) — Head to any Ammo Workbench and craft 25 rounds of any ballistic caliber (.308, .45, 5mm, etc.); cheap recipes clear this in seconds.
  • Collect any flavor of Nuka-Cola (x5) — Pick up any five Nuka-Cola variants (Classic, Cherry, Quantum, Dark) from containers, fridges, or vending machines; the Nuka-World On Tour area has several in close proximity, letting you chain this with the camera challenge.
  • Craft any Plushie at a Tinkerer's Bench — Open your Tinker's Workbench and craft one Plushie; common materials are cloth and plastic. Any plushie type counts.
  • Drink Nuka-Cola (x3) — Consume three Nuka-Cola bottles of any flavor from your inventory or picked up while completing the collection challenge.
  • Kill an Enemy in the Burning Springs Region (x5) — Fast travel to Highway Town or any Burning Springs landmark; scorched and human enemies spawn throughout the area. Five kills clears the challenge quickly.
  • Kill an Enemy with any Pistol (x8) — Equip any pistol-type weapon (10mm Pistol, Pipe Pistol, Gauss Pistol, etc.) and kill eight enemies; the Community Center Daily Op works if you use a pistol build, otherwise a quick sweep of any enemy-populated location suffices.
  • Take a Camera Picture at Nuka-World On Tour — Travel to the Nuka-World on Tour event area in the Forest region (northeast of Flatwoods) and use your Camera item to snap a picture of any subject; one shot completes the challenge.

Scrap junk to produce Cork (x15)1000 SCORE

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge (x3) — Complete the Gold Star daily on any three days this week; each day's Gold Star counts separately toward the weekly total.
  • Build a Floor, Wall, or Roof in a Workshop or CAMP (x25) — Place 25 structural pieces at your CAMP or at a captured Workshop; basic wooden floor tiles each count individually and a single building session knocks this out.
  • Catch a Fish while it is Raining (x2) — Equip a Fishing Rod and cast at any fishing spot during in-game rain. The Cranberry Bog and Mire regions see rain frequently; wait for the rain animation, then cast twice to complete the challenge. The monthly Purple Axolotl spawns in Skyline Valley and Cranberry Bog through June 2, so fish those spots for bonus progress.
  • Collect a Burnt Book (x25) — Burnt Books appear on shelves and floors throughout ruined buildings. Charleston area homes, Flatwoods residential buildings, and the Morgantown university district have reliable clusters; server hop to reset spawns if needed.
  • Complete an Event while Wearing a Costume (x2) — Equip any outfit flagged as a Costume in your wardrobe before joining a public event such as Eviction Notice or Line in the Sand; any completed event counts.
  • Consume an Alcoholic Beverage (x20) — Craft Beer, Wine, or Nukashine at a Brewing Station; 20 drinks from a single crafting session clears it immediately. Vendors also stock alcohol if you prefer to skip crafting.
  • Destroy a Robot (x30) — Watoga has dense Protectron, Assaultron, and Sentry Bot spawns throughout the city. The Whitespring Resort parking areas also have Sentry Bot patrols. Server hop to reset and chain kills quickly.
  • Kill a Mole Miner (x30) — Head to the Ash Heap: Mount Blair and Garrahan Mining HQ both have dense Mole Miner packs. Server hop after clearing to reset spawns.
  • Scrap junk to produce Cloth (x30) — Military Duct Tape, Pillows, Tarps, and Wonderglue yield Cloth when scrapped. Farm junk from raider camps and residential homes, then scrap at any workbench.
  • Scrap junk to produce Cork (x15) — Fishing Bobbers and Picnic Baskets are reliable Cork sources. Pre-war homes and campsites carry both; scrap at any workbench to accumulate 15 Cork quickly.
