Daily Ops drops squads into Glassed Cavern against Mothman Cultists under Piercing Gaze and Resilient mutations. Spooky Scorched haunts the wasteland through May 12 — run those events for seasonal loot.

Active Events Today

Spooky Scorched Event

April 28 – May 12, 2026

Halloween-themed Scorched enemies are stalking Appalachia with seasonal masks, candy, and cosmetic rewards on the line. Eliminate Spooky Scorched enemies and complete public events to rack up seasonal currency before the event wraps on May 12.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeUplink
LocationGlassed Cavern
EnemiesMothman Cultists
MutationsPiercing Gaze, Resilient

Mutation breakdown:

  • Piercing Gaze — Enemies can detect players through stealth; sneaking will not let you avoid detection this run.
  • Resilient — Enemies revive after being downed unless killed with sustained damage, damage-over-time, or explosive effects.

Strategy: Stealth builds lose their evasion advantage entirely under Piercing Gaze — commit to raw damage output and bring an automatic weapon capable of sustained fire. In Uplink mode, split your squad: one player activates and holds the uplink terminal while the rest suppress incoming Mothman Cultist waves. Because Resilient enemies revive, keep pouring fire onto downed targets to finish them for good — full-auto rifles, miniguns, or a flamer work well. The Glassed Cavern terrain offers chokepoints near the entry corridors; hold those angles to funnel cultist spawns into manageable lanes.

Quick completion tips:

  • Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) — Finish 6 of today's other challenges to unlock this 1000 SCORE bonus; the tips below make each one fast.
  • Drink Tea — Craft any tea at a cooking station (Tarberry Tea, Blackberry Tea, or similar) or grab one from a player vendor camp. One craft and consume is all it takes.
  • Complete an Event — Any public event counts. The active Spooky Scorched event populates the map with easy, fast events — watch the map for active markers and join one.
  • Consume any Chems (x2) — Use any 2 chems from your inventory; Stimpaks, Radaway, Buffout, and Med-X all qualify. No need to seek anything specific.
  • Deal a Critical Hit to an Enemy using Automatic Weapons in VATS (x5) — Equip any automatic weapon, enter VATS, build the crit meter with normal hits, then spend it 5 times. Auto pistols, laser rifles, and submachine guns all count as automatic.
  • Drink Nuka-Orange (x2) — Nuka-Orange is found at vending machines, bought from player vendors, or crafted at a brewing station. Two drinks satisfies the challenge.
  • Kill a Glowing Creature — Glowing Feral Ghouls are the easiest source: Whitespring Resort grounds, Grafton, and The Mire all have reliable spawns. Glowing Radroaches in basements count too.
  • Pick a Lock — Any locked container, door, or safe works. Novice-tier locks require no perks; check any low-level dungeon or abandoned building.

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3) — Complete today's full daily challenge set and repeat over two more days this week. Each day's gold star clears one of the three required completions.
  • Repeatable Under Rank 100: Gain XP (x10000) — Any XP-generating activity counts — events, enemy kills, and crafting all work. This is repeatable multiple times for additional SCORE.
  • Repeatable at Rank 100 or above: Complete a Public Event (x3) — Any public event qualifies. Chain Spooky Scorched events this week for fast, repeatable completions.
  • Build a Floor, Wall, or Roof in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x25) — Place and scrap simple wood floor tiles at your C.A.M.P. repeatedly; each placement counts. Twenty-five placements go quickly when recycling the same tiles.
  • Catch a Fish while it is Raining (x2) — Head to any fishing spot and wait for rain, or server hop to find a rain-weather instance. Spruce Knob, the Forest rivers near Flatwoods, and Mire streams are reliable fishing locations.
  • Collect a Burnt Book (x25) — Burnt Books appear in indoor locations throughout Appalachia. The Whitespring Resort, Charleston Capitol Building, and National Isolated Radio Array area are dense with book spawns including burnt variants.
  • Complete an Event while Wearing a Costume (x2) — Equip a costume outfit (separate from armor — check the apparel slot for full-body costumes) and complete any two public events. Spooky Scorched events are plentiful right now.
  • Consume an Alcoholic Beverage (x20) — Brew beer, Nukashine, or wine at a brewing station, or buy alcoholic drinks cheaply from player vendors. Nukashine is one of the fastest to craft in bulk.
  • Destroy a Robot (x30) — Whitespring Resort grounds and maintenance tunnels have dense Protectron and Robobrain spawns. Camp Venture and the Carriage House area also offer reliable robot enemies.
  • Kill a Mole Miner (x30) — The Ash Heap is the best region: Garrahan Mining HQ, Mount Blair, and the Abandoned Mine shafts all spawn Mole Miners in high numbers. Bring a strong automatic weapon for efficient runs.
  • Scrap junk to produce Cloth (x30) — Cloth comes from scrapping Pre-War Money, surgical trays, pillows, and some cloth-tagged outfits. Hospitals and medical clinics across Appalachia are loaded with surgical trays.
  • Scrap junk to produce Cork (x15) — Cork is extracted from wine bottles, Nuka-Cola bottles, and similar containers. Whitespring Resort bar areas and Riverside Manor have wine bottle spawns worth farming.
