Today's Daily Ops

ModeUplink
LocationThe Burrows
EnemiesScorched
MutationsPiercing Gaze, Active Camouflage, Volatile

Mutation breakdown:

  • Piercing Gaze: Scorched detect you at extended range — stealth builds lose most of their advantage in the tight sewer corridors.
  • Active Camouflage: Enemies temporarily turn invisible while moving; use VATS or listen for audio cues to track them before they close to melee.
  • Volatile: Enemies explode on death — do not stand in melee range when finishing kills, and avoid chaining detonations in The Burrows' narrow passageways.

Strategy: The Burrows is a close-quarters underground environment, which makes Volatile especially punishing — keep distance when enemies are low on health and reposition after each kill to avoid the blast radius. Active Camouflage means Scorched can close gaps invisibly, so prioritize area-of-effect attacks to reveal and damage cloaked enemies before they reach you. In Uplink mode you must hold terminal positions while waves of Scorched push in, so split team members between terminals and clear each wave fully before resuming uploads to avoid losing progress.

Today's Daily Challenges

ChallengeSCORE

Drink Purified Water (x2)250
Eat a Plant-based Meal (x10)250
Gain XP (x2500)250
Harvest a Wild Plant or Fungi (x12)250
Kill a Creature while in a Team (x10)250
Kill Insects (x5)250
Sell Glowing Fungus Soup to an NPC vendor250

Quick completion tips:

  • Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6): Knock out the other seven challenges in this list — completing six of them earns the Gold Star automatically and banks the 1000 SCORE bonus.
  • Drink Purified Water (x2): Grab two bottles from your C.A.M.P. water purifier or buy them from a vendor bot — fastest challenge on the list.
  • Eat a Plant-based Meal (x10): Vegetable Stew, Cranberry Relish, or any plant-based recipe counts; simple cooked vegetables from your stash knock this out quickly.
  • Harvest a Wild Plant or Fungi (x12): Run the Flatwoods-to-Morgantown corridor in the Forest — tato, mutfruit, wild carrots, and mushrooms are plentiful and respawn on server hop.
  • Kill Insects (x5): Bloatflies, Bloodbugs, and Radroaches spawn around Morgantown Airport, the Toxic Valley, and caves throughout the Forest — five kills is trivial on any travel route.
  • Kill a Creature while in a Team (x10): Join or form a public team before your Daily Ops run — all creature kills during the run count toward this total.
  • Sell Glowing Fungus Soup to an NPC vendor: Craft Glowing Fungus Soup using Glowing Fungus at any cooking station, then sell the soup to Grahm, a Protectron vendor, or any NPC trader.
  • Gain XP (x2500): A single Daily Ops run through The Burrows covers this comfortably, especially with a team bonus active.

Repeatable (Rank 100+): Complete a Public Event (x3)300 SCORE

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge (x3): Complete 6 daily challenges today, tomorrow, and one more day this week — three separate days earns all 3 Gold Stars.
  • Catch a Fish (x21): Fish at any fishing hole across Appalachia; the April 2026 Axolotl of the Month (Dotted Axolotl) is in the Mire and Burning Springs through May 5, so fishing those regions counts toward both this challenge and the monthly axolotl.
  • Destroy a Robot (x30): Farm the Whitespring Resort exterior or the RobCo Research Center — robots respawn quickly and the density is high, making it easy to chain 30 kills in a single visit.
  • Eat a Vegetable (x25): Raw vegetables count; stack this with the daily Harvest challenge by picking wild plants and eating what you collect as you go.
  • Kill a Mole Rat (x15): Mole rats are common near Vault 76, Tyler County Dirt Track, and around Flatwoods — a short loop through those areas yields 15 kills without much detour.
  • Scrap Pre-War Money (x50): Check cash registers, safes, and junk piles in Morgantown and Charleston; Pre-War Money is also a common find in player vendor stashes for cheap.
  • Scrap junk to produce Fertilizer (x15): Scrap Brahmin Patties or Fertilizer Bags — both yield Fertilizer as a component and are easy to bulk-buy from player vendors for a quick clear.
  • Scrap junk to produce Gears (x15): Scrap desk fans, typewriters, and cameras, which are abundant in Watoga and throughout the Cranberry Bog's abandoned offices.
  • Sell Pumpkin Pie to an NPC vendor: Craft Pumpkin Pie at a cooking station (requires Pumpkin, Sugar, and Flour) then sell to any NPC trader; Pumpkins grow at Helvetia and several Savage Divide farm locations.
  • Take a Picture of a Wendigo: Wendigoes spawn reliably at Wendigo Cave (near the Savage Divide/Mire border) and during the Uranium Fever public event at Monongah Mine — enter Photomode when one is in frame to register the picture.
  • Repeatable (Under Rank 100): Gain XP (x10000): Chain Daily Ops runs or farm the Whitespring exterior for quick, repeatable XP without fast travel costs.
  • Repeatable (Rank 100+): Complete a Public Event (x3): Eviction Notice, Lode Baring, and Heart of the Swamp all count and run frequently on populated servers — check the map for active icons.
