Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - April 19, 2026
Double XP weekend enters its final day, Minerva's Big Sale (List 8) at Whitespring wraps up tomorrow noon, and today's Daily Ops drops you into Watoga Raider Arena with Mole Miners and three brutal mutations.
Active Events Today
Rip Daring vs Aliens C.A.M.P. Showdown
April 2 – April 27, 2026
The Season 24 C.A.M.P. Showdown event is still running — build, defend, and earn themed rewards before it closes late on April 27. Plenty of time left to complete remaining objectives.
Double XP, Minerva's Big Sale (List 8) & Double Mutations
April 16 – April 20, 2026
Double XP and Double Mutations are active through tomorrow's noon ET reset — today is the last full session to earn boosted XP on public events and Daily Ops. Mutations on your weapons and armor are doubled while this bonus is live. The Minerva Big Sale at Whitespring also ends at tomorrow's reset; see the Minerva section below for her current inventory.
Today's Daily Ops
| Mode | Decryption |
| Location | Watoga Raider Arena |
| Enemies | Mole Miners |
| Mutations | Savage Strike, Active Camouflage, Swift-Footed |
Mutation breakdown:
- Savage Strike — Mole Miners deal increased melee damage; stay out of melee range and kite them through chokepoints.
- Active Camouflage — Enemies partially cloak when idle or between attacks; use VATS to target cloaked Mole Miners before they reach you.
- Swift-Footed — Enemies move faster than normal; expect them to close distance quickly after de-cloaking.
Strategy: Bring a high-rate-of-fire weapon to punish Mole Miners the moment Active Camouflage drops. Explosive weapons like grenade launchers can hit groups through cover and force cloaked enemies to reveal themselves. The Watoga Raider Arena has tight corridors — use doorways to funnel the faster-moving miners and prevent being flanked by Savage Strike targets while you're working on the Decryption objective.
Today's Daily Challenges
| Challenge | SCORE |
|---|---|
| Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) | 1000 |
| Build a Turret or Trap in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x3) | 250 |
| Complete a Grunt Hunt (x2) | 250 |
| Consume an Alcoholic Beverage (x5) | 250 |
| Craft any Chems (x2) | 250 |
| Craft or Scrap a Melee Weapon (x5) | 250 |
| Kill a Blood Eagle (x10) | 250 |
| Kill a Canine (x5) | 250 |
Quick completion tips:
- Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) — Finish any six of the other dailies below and this one completes automatically.
- Build a Turret or Trap in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x3) — Claim any Workshop or go to your CAMP, then build three cheap turrets (Machine Gun Turret requires minimal materials) or floor traps at any C.A.M.P. workbench.
- Complete a Grunt Hunt (x2) — Grunt Hunt is a solo bounty mission in Burning Springs, not a Daily Ops mode. Travel to Highway Town, enter the Last Resort saloon, and grab a Wanted poster from the stack near The Ghoul to start a hunt. Track down and eliminate the mutated outlaw within 10 minutes, then repeat for the second run.
- Consume an Alcoholic Beverage (x5) — Carry a stack of Nuka-Cola Dark, beer, or moonshine and drink five in a row; they stack instantly from your inventory.
- Craft any Chems (x2) — At a Chemistry Station, craft two basic chems (Stimpak, RadAway, or any diluted variant) — components are widely available.
- Craft or Scrap a Melee Weapon (x5) — Head to a Weapons Workbench and scrap five looted melee weapons (knives, board planks, tire irons) for quick completion.
- Kill a Blood Eagle (x10) — Blood Eagles cluster at Tyler County Dirt Track, Bog Town, and Emmett Mountain Disposal Site; a single sweep through any of those locations covers the kill count.
- Kill a Canine (x5) — Mongrels (feral dogs) are common in the Ash Heap near Lewisburg and around the outskirts of Morgantown; five kills come fast.
Weekly Challenges
| Challenge | Reward |
|---|---|
| Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3) | 1500 SCORE |
| Repeatable Under Rank 100: Gain XP (x10000) | 100 SCORE |
| Repeatable at Rank 100 or above: Complete a Public Event (x3) | 300 SCORE |
| Catch a Fish (x21) | 1000 SCORE |
| Destroy a Robot (x30) | 1000 SCORE |
| Eat a Vegetable (x25) | 1000 SCORE |
| Kill a Mole Rat (x15) | 1000 SCORE |
| Scrap Pre-War Money (x50) | 1000 SCORE |
| Scrap junk to produce Fertilizer (x15) | 1000 SCORE |
| Scrap junk to produce Gears (x15) | 1000 SCORE |
| Sell Pumpkin Pie to an NPC vendor | 1000 SCORE |
| Take a Picture of a Wendigo | 1000 SCORE |
Quick completion hints:
- Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3) — Complete today's Gold Star daily (any six dailies) and two more Gold Star dailies across the rest of the week.
- Catch a Fish (x21) — The April Axolotl (Dotted Axolotl) is active through May 5 in the Mire and Burning Springs as a Small Fish and counts toward fishing totals; combine grinding the Axolotl with any fishing spot to chip through 21 catches faster.
- Destroy a Robot (x30) — Watoga city streets are packed with Protectrons and Assaultrons; a single loop around the eastern Watoga district routinely clears 30+ robot kills.
- Eat a Vegetable (x25) — Plant Tato, Corn, or Mutfruit at your CAMP and harvest repeatedly, or buy canned Pork n' Beans from player vendors and consume them; each serving counts.
- Kill a Mole Rat (x15) — Note: today's Daily Ops enemies are Mole Miners, not Mole Rats. For actual Mole Rats, check Flatwoods, Huntersville in the Mire, or the area around South Mountain.
- Scrap Pre-War Money (x50) — Pre-War Money is common in offices, banks, and filing cabinets across Appalachia; scrapping it also produces Fertilizer, knocking out two weeklies at once.
- Scrap junk to produce Fertilizer (x15) — Scrapping Pre-War Money is the most efficient source; Brahmin Skulls and Fertilizer Sacks also count.
- Scrap junk to produce Gears (x15) — Desk Fans, Typewriters, and Fan Blades each yield multiple Gears; the Whitespring Mall offices and industrial buildings are good looting routes.
- Sell Pumpkin Pie to an NPC vendor — Craft Pumpkin Pie at any Cooking Station (Pumpkin + Silt Bean + Spices) then sell to any NPC vendor in a settlement such as Flatwoods, Foundation, or the Crater commissary.
- Take a Picture of a Wendigo — Wendigos spawn reliably at Lucky Hole Mine in the Mire and at Lyons Family Farm; equip your Camera and stay back far enough to frame the shot safely.
