Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - April 18, 2026

Double XP and Minerva's Big Sale are in their final days — both end Monday, April 20. Today's Daily Ops takes you to Charleston Capitol Building for an Uplink mission against Communist squads with Piercing Gaze, Active Camouflage, and Volatile mutations in play.

Active Events Today

Rip Daring vs Aliens C.A.M.P. Showdown

April 2 – April 27, 2026

Build and defend your C.A.M.P. against alien invaders as part of the Rip Daring crossover event. Complete objectives to earn unique cosmetics and season progression before the event closes April 27.

Double XP, Minerva's Big Sale (List 8) & Double Mutations

April 16 – April 20, 2026

Double XP and Double Mutations are live through Monday — this is the best window of the week to grind levels, legendary farming, and mutation stacking. Minerva is stationed at the Whitespring with her Big Sale (List 8) offering 25% off Settlers, Raiders, Vault 79, Daily Ops, and former Nuclear Winter plans. Everything ends Monday, April 20 at noon ET.

Dotted Axolotl — April Monthly Catch

April 7 – May 5, 2026

The Dotted Axolotl spawns only in April as a Small Fish in the Mire and Burning Springs regions. Sixteen days remain to catch one — bring your fishing rod to any waterway in those biomes and keep casting.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeUplink
LocationCharleston Capitol Building
EnemiesCommunists
MutationsPiercing Gaze, Active Camouflage, Volatile

Mutation breakdown:

  • Piercing Gaze: Enemy detection range is greatly increased; stealth attacks deal reduced bonus damage.
  • Active Camouflage: Enemies can turn invisible periodically, making them difficult to track mid-combat.
  • Volatile: Enemies explode on death, dealing area-of-effect damage to any player standing nearby.

Strategy: Stealth and sneak-attack builds are poorly suited for today's Op — Piercing Gaze removes most of their edge. Volatile makes every dead Communist a delayed explosive, so back away from kills and avoid clustered melee. VATS and AoE weapons (grenades, flamers, explosive shotguns) are strong choices against Active Camouflage targets that vanish mid-fight. In Uplink mode the objective is to defend the active terminal from Communist waves, so hold position near the terminal and let enemies funnel toward you.

  • Repeatable Under Rank 100: Gain XP (x10000): Double XP is active through Monday — run public events now while the bonus is live to hit 10,000 XP much faster than normal.
  • Repeatable at Rank 100 or above: Complete a Public Event (x3): Any public event qualifies. Eviction Notice, Uranium Fever, and Radiation Rumble all spawn frequently and complete quickly.
  • Catch a Fish (x21): Equip a fishing rod and cast at waterways showing a Fishing prompt in the Mire, Forest, or Burning Springs. The April Dotted Axolotl counts toward your fish tally too.
  • Destroy a Robot (x30): The Whitespring golf course is dense with Eyebots and Mr. Handy golf bots. Grafton Steel and the Encryptid public event are solid backups for faster Protectron kills.
  • Eat a Vegetable (x25): Eat raw or cooked Mutfruit, Corn, Carrots, Razorgrain, or Tatos. Check your food stash — you likely have 25 vegetables already sitting untouched.
  • Kill a Mole Rat (x15): Mole Rats are plentiful around Flatwoods and the Forest region. Several caves in the Savage Divide (Mole Rat Warren) also guarantee a quick cluster.
  • Scrap Pre-War Money (x50): Pre-War Money is abundant junk found in offices, homes, and register counters. Scrap your existing stash first — most players have more than 50 already.
  • Scrap junk to produce Fertilizer (x15): Bags of Fertilizer, Brahmin Patties, and other organic junk yield Fertilizer when scrapped. Farm buildings, brahmin pens, and Vault 81 storage rooms are good finds.
  • Scrap junk to produce Gears (x15): Typewriters, cameras, desk fans, and alarm clocks all contain Gears. Office buildings, schools, and police stations consistently yield these.
  • Sell Pumpkin Pie to an NPC vendor: Craft Pumpkin Pie at any cooking station (requires a Pumpkin), then sell it to any NPC vendor at Foundation, Crater, the Whitespring Resort, or a roaming vendor.
  • Take a Picture of a Wendigo: Travel to Wendigo Cave in the Mire — it's a named location with reliable Wendigo spawns at the entrance. Open photo mode or equip a camera and snap the shot while the Wendigo is in frame.
