Rip Daring vs Aliens C.A.M.P. Showdown
April 2 – April 27, 2026
Build and decorate your C.A.M.P. around an alien invasion or Rip Daring theme to earn exclusive event rewards. With nearly two weeks left before the April 27 end date, now is a good time to make final pushes on reward tiers before the event closes.
Starting tomorrow: Double XP, Minerva's Big Sale (List 8), and Double Mutations begins April 16 at 12:00 PM ET and runs through April 20. Save heavy grinding and XP-heavy activities for that window.
Today's Daily Ops
| Mode | Decryption |
| Location | Community Center |
| Enemies | Fanatics |
| Mutations | Savage Strike, Toxic Blood |
Mutation breakdown:
- Savage Strike: Enemies deal increased melee damage — maintain spacing and avoid letting Fanatics close in on you.
- Toxic Blood: Enemies release a hazardous toxic cloud when hit, damaging nearby players — avoid clustering around the same target when dealing damage.
Strategy: Decryption mode requires you to protect the Signal Repeater from incoming Fanatic assault waves. Toxic Blood punishes tight grouping around enemies, so coordinate with teammates to spread fire across different targets rather than stacking damage on one. Savage Strike means any Fanatic that reaches melee range hits hard — ranged and explosive builds have a clear advantage here, while melee players should use stagger or knockback perks to prevent enemies from closing in. Clear enemy clusters at the edges of the room before they converge on the repeater's position.
Today's Daily Challenges
| Challenge | SCORE |
|---|---|
| Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) | 1000 |
| Build a Decoration in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. in Free Cam (x5) | 250 |
| Collect RadAway or Rad-X (x5) | 250 |
| Collect or Scrap Coal (x5) | 250 |
| Cripple a Mole Miner's Head (x2) | 250 |
| Kill an Enemy in the Ash Heap Region (x5) | 250 |
| Scrap junk to produce Plastic (x10) | 250 |
| Use Photomode while in a Team | 250 |
Quick completion tips:
- Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6) — Finish the other seven dailies listed here; the Gold Star triggers automatically once you hit 6 completions.
- Build a Decoration in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. in Free Cam (x5) — Enter build mode, hold the item placement toggle to activate Free Cam, then place any five decorative items. You can reuse the same decoration type multiple times.
- Collect RadAway or Rad-X (x5) — First-aid kits and Mole Miner corpses in the Ash Heap region drop these regularly — pair this run with the Ash Heap kill and Mole Miner head challenges.
- Collect or Scrap Coal (x5) — Coal nodes and loose coal lumps are plentiful around the mine shafts and transit points in the Ash Heap (Lewisburg area, Big Bend Tunnel East). Mine nodes or loot containers for quick five.
- Cripple a Mole Miner's Head (x2) — Use VATS and target the head directly, or fire a shotgun at close range. Mole Miners cluster throughout the Ash Heap — knock both out on the same route as the kill and coal challenges.
- Kill an Enemy in the Ash Heap Region (x5) — Any enemy type in the Ash Heap qualifies. Mole Miners near Lewisburg and Scorched around the Abandoned Mine sites are the densest spawns; five kills takes under two minutes.
- Scrap junk to produce Plastic (x10) — Loot toys, plastic bottles, and plastic containers from homes and stores, then scrap at any workbench. The Ash Heap has plenty of lootable structures alongside the kill challenges.
- Use Photomode while in a Team — Join or form a team via the Social menu, then open Photomode once. The challenge completes immediately on activation.
Weekly Challenges
| Challenge | Reward |
|---|---|
| Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3) | 1500 SCORE |
| Repeatable Under Rank 100: Gain XP (x10000) | 100 SCORE |
| Repeatable at Rank 100 or above: Complete a Public Event (x3) | 300 SCORE |
| Catch a Fish (x21) | 1000 SCORE |
| Destroy a Robot (x30) | 1000 SCORE |
| Eat a Vegetable (x25) | 1000 SCORE |
| Kill a Mole Rat (x15) | 1000 SCORE |
| Scrap Pre-War Money (x50) | 1000 SCORE |
| Scrap junk to produce Fertilizer (x15) | 1000 SCORE |
| Scrap junk to produce Gears (x15) | 1000 SCORE |
| Sell Pumpkin Pie to an NPC vendor | 1000 SCORE |
| Take a Picture of a Wendigo | 1000 SCORE |
Quick completion hints:
- Complete a Gold Star Daily Challenge! (x3) — Earn this passively over three daily reset cycles by completing the daily Gold Star each day. No extra effort needed beyond your regular daily runs.
- Catch a Fish (x21) — The April Axolotl (Dotted Axolotl) is catchable in the Mire and Burning Springs regions through May 5. Fish at ponds and streams in those areas; any fish catch counts toward the 21-fish total, not just axolotls. Using bait increases catch rate.
- Destroy a Robot (x30) — The Whitespring Golf Course and Whitespring Resort interior have dense robot spawns. Running "Uranium Fever" (West Tek area) or "Grafton Day" public events also contributes robot kills efficiently.
- Eat a Vegetable (x25) — Carry a stack of Tatos, Corn, or Carrots from your CAMP garden or buy from a player vendor. Eat them one at a time between other activities; 25 spreads easily across a full play session.
- Kill a Mole Rat (x15) — Mole Rats spawn reliably at Anchor Farm (Forest region), Mosstown, and near Vault 76. Server hop if spawns are depleted.
- Scrap Pre-War Money (x50) — Pre-War Money drops from safes, filing cabinets, and Scorched loot. The Whitespring Resort lobbies and bunker have numerous safes; pick up and scrap as you move through.
- Scrap junk to produce Fertilizer (x15) — Fertilizer is produced by scrapping Brahmin Dung, Compost bags, and Fertilizer sacks. Farms with Brahmin — such as Vault-Tec Agricultural Research Center or Billings Homestead — are reliable sources.
- Scrap junk to produce Gears (x15) — Gears come from scrapping typewriters, desk fans, cameras, and fishing rods. Offices, classrooms, and homes throughout Appalachia have these; check any building interior.
- Sell Pumpkin Pie to an NPC vendor — Craft Pumpkin Pie at a cooking station (requires Pumpkin, Flour, Sugar). Pumpkins grow at Pleasant Valley Ski Resort and in Savage Divide farm areas. Sell the finished pie to any NPC vendor once.
- Take a Picture of a Wendigo — Wendigo Cave (northeast Savage Divide, west of Seneca Rocks) has a reliable Wendigo spawn. Enter Photomode while a live Wendigo is in frame to complete the challenge.

Why have I not been using the goat legs perk this whole time

Sunny here, signing off from the wasteland airwaves — today's mission briefing comes in hot with Decryption ops at the Community Center, so keep your distance from those Toxic Blood splashes and remind yourself why Goat Legs deserved a slot all along.
