Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - April 13, 2026

Today's Daily Ops run Decryption at Uncanny Caverns against Blood Eagles under Savage Strike and Reflective Skin mutations — ranged builds should favor burst damage over sustained fire to limit reflected hits. Mutated Public Events are in their final stretch; finish all three for the weekly before tomorrow's noon reset.

Mutated Public Events

Today's Daily Ops

ModeDecryption
LocationUncanny Caverns
EnemiesBlood Eagles
MutationsSavage Strike, Reflective Skin

Mutation breakdown:

  • Savage Strike — Enemies deal increased melee damage. Blood Eagles will rush aggressively; use cover and choke points in the cave passages to keep them at range.
  • Reflective Skin — Enemies reflect a portion of incoming ranged damage back at the attacker. Sustained automatic fire is especially punishing; high-damage-per-shot weapons minimize the reflected hits you absorb.

Strategy: Decryption mode requires locating and hacking a series of encrypted terminals scattered through Uncanny Caverns — clear Blood Eagles from each area before activating a terminal or they will interrupt the hack and force you to restart. Reflective Skin makes sustained light-caliber fire costly; favor shotguns, high-damage semi-auto rifles, or melee to finish enemies quickly rather than trading fire at length. The cave's narrow corridors work in your favor — funnel Blood Eagles through chokepoints so Savage Strike melee rushes don't hit you from multiple angles while you are mid-hack.

Today's Daily Challenges

ChallengeSCORE
Gold Star: Complete a Daily Challenge (x6)1000
Consume an Alcoholic Beverage while on a Team (x5)250
Cripple a Scorched's Leg (x2)250
Drink Nuka-Cola Cranberry (x2)250
Eat a Vegetable (x10)250
Gain XP (x2500)250
Kill a Mutated Enemy (x10)250
Plant a Crop in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x5)250

Quick completion tips:

  • Consume an Alcoholic Beverage while on a Team (x5): Join or form any team first, then drink 5 alcoholic beverages — cheap options like Beer or Nuka-Shine can be crafted at a brewing station or purchased from player vendors. One quick crafting session covers all five.
  • Cripple a Scorched's Leg (x2): Aim for leg shots on Scorched in VATS. Dense Scorched locations include Sunnytop Ski Lanes, Huntersville surroundings, and Flatwoods. Any two leg-cripple kills complete the challenge.
  • Drink Nuka-Cola Cranberry (x2): Nuka-Cola Cranberry spawns in vending machines at ski resort locations (Sunnytop Ski Lanes) and can be crafted at a chemistry station with cola nuts and cranberries, or purchased from player vendor stalls.
  • Eat a Vegetable (x10): Eat 10 raw or cooked vegetable items — Corn, Mutfruit, Tato, and Carrot all count. Harvest from your CAMP garden plots or check grocery stores and kitchens in Flatwoods and Morgantown for quick pickups.
  • Gain XP (x2500): 2500 XP accumulates quickly during a Mutated Public Event run — stack this with the weekly "Complete a Mutated Public Event (x3)" for a two-in-one session.
  • Kill a Mutated Enemy (x10): Blood Eagles in today's Daily Ops do not count — target naturally mutated enemies like Scorched, Ghouls, or Super Mutants. Head to Harpers Ferry (Scorched), Huntersville (Super Mutants), or any nearby nuke zone.
  • Plant a Crop in a Workshop or C.A.M.P. (x5): Place 5 crop objects in a workshop plot or your CAMP's garden. If you already have crops placed, remove and replant five to satisfy the counter.

Quick completion hints:

  • Complete a Mutated Public Event (x3): This is the week's most time-sensitive task — Mutated Public Events end at tomorrow. Queue for any active public event now; Scorched Earth, One Violent Night, and similar events in the Forest are reliable.
  • Kill a Mutated Enemy (x30): Pairs directly with the daily (x10) — run three daily sessions or farm Scorched/Super Mutant-dense areas to clear all 30. Nuke zones in the Cranberry Bog or the Mire provide fast respawns.
  • Collect a Teapot (x5): Teapots spawn on kitchen counters and shelves in homes across Appalachia. Check houses in Morgantown, Point Pleasant, and farmhouses along the Forest. Five teapots from a single area sweep is common.
  • Craft any Chems (x6): Craft any combination of Stimpaks, RadAway, or Buffout at a chemistry station — use the cheapest recipe you have unlocked and repeat six times.
  • Deal a Critical Hit to an Enemy using Automatic Weapons in VATS (x30): Fill your critical meter between VATS sessions, then spend it on an automatic weapon attack. Higher Luck builds cycle the meter faster; public events with dense enemy waves are efficient for stacking 30 crits.
  • Scrap junk to produce Plastic (x30): Look for plastic-heavy junk — Bowls, Toys, Canisters, and Plastic Plates. The Whitespring Resort, Vault 76 atrium, and general stores across the map are reliable sources.
  • Scrap junk to produce Springs (x15): Springs come from Alarm Clocks, Typewriters, Clipboards, and similar mechanical items. Wixon Homestead and the ATLAS Observatory area have decent concentrations.
  • Sell Mirelurk Queen Steak to an NPC vendor: Cook a Mirelurk Queen Steak at a cooking station using Mirelurk Queen Meat, then sell it to any NPC vendor. Mirelurk Queens spawn at Spruce Knob Lake, Riverside Manor, and the Cranberry Bog survey camp.
  • Visit another Player's Shelter (x5): Open the map or social menu to browse nearby player CAMPs with shelter access, or ask in-game. Five quick visits complete this easily in a populated server.
