Daily Fallout 76 Briefing - April 08, 2026

April 8 reset brings Uplink Daily Ops at Vault 94 against Fanatics with Piercing Gaze and Danger Cloud mutations, active Mutated Public Events and Rip Daring C.A.M.P. Showdown, and a community-built resource mapper drawing big attention on Reddit.

Active Events Today

Rip Daring vs Aliens C.A.M.P. Showdown

April 2 – April 27, 2026 Build and defend your C.A.M.P. against alien waves in this ongoing Showdown event tied to the Rip Daring season. With nearly three weeks still on the clock, now is the time to stack seasonal rewards from Showdown participation.

Mutated Public Events

April 7 – April 14, 2026 All public events this week run with active mutations, boosting both challenge and loot quality. Running any public event this week counts toward today's daily challenge and the weekly Mutated Public Events objective — prioritise these for maximum efficiency.

Today's Daily Ops

ModeUplink
LocationVault 94
EnemiesFanatics
MutationsPiercing Gaze, Danger Cloud

Mutation breakdown:

  • Piercing Gaze — Enemies have extended detection range; stealth approaches are significantly less reliable and stealth builds should expect to be spotted earlier than usual.
  • Danger Cloud — Enemies release a toxic cloud on taking damage; melee finishers and point-blank attackers risk taking cloud damage when enemies are low on health.

Strategy: Uplink mode requires activating terminals throughout Vault 94 while Fanatic waves close in — clear the immediate area before touching a terminal or you'll get swarmed mid-activation. Avoid going melee on wounded Fanatics because of Danger Cloud; switch to ranged or explosives for finishing blows. Piercing Gaze nullifies long-sightline sniping as a safe opener, so favour mid-range combat positions and use cover to break line of sight between Fanatic spawns.

Quick completion tips:

  • Complete a Mutated Public Event — every public event this week is mutated, so any run clears this challenge immediately while also contributing to the weekly.
  • Kill a Mole Rat (x5) — Mole Rat dens in the Ash Heap and Toxic Valley are reliable; the Den near Lewisburg is a quick stop.
  • Kill an Enemy in the Cranberry Bog Region (x5) — The Bog is densely populated; combine this with plant harvests for the Harvest a Wild Plant or Fungi (x12) challenge in a single loop.
  • Scrap junk to produce Springs (x5) and Aluminum (x5) — Typewriters, desk fans, and surgical trays cover both; hit Whitespring resort storage or Flatwoods clinic for a quick run.
