The Clay Axolotl is in its final stretch — only 4 days remain before it disappears at on April 7. Head to Skyline Valley or Toxic Valley and bring bait for Small Fish; if spawns are slow, hop servers until you find active fishing spots.

Mutation breakdown:
- Piercing Gaze — Enemies detect players at extended range and through stealth, making sneak-based builds largely ineffective today.
- Swift-Footed — Enemies move at increased speed, closing distances quickly and punishing slow repositioning.
Strategy: Skip stealth loadouts entirely — Piercing Gaze will expose you before you get value out of any sneaking. Set up in chokepoints near the uplink objectives with shotguns, explosive weapons, or heavy guns to catch the faster-moving Scorched as they funnel in. Bring Stabilized or Tenderizer perks to offset any armor the Scorched are carrying, and keep your team spread just enough to cover multiple uplink points without clustering into grenade range.
