Mutation breakdown:
- Piercing Gaze — Enemies can detect you through stealth and cloaking. Sneaky builds lose their usual edge; plan to fight in the open or use terrain cover rather than relying on stealth crits.
- Danger Cloud — Enemies emit a toxic gas cloud when killed or hit. Avoid lingering over downed Scorched, keep moving after each kill, and consider equipping a Hazmat Suit or Rad-X for extended runs.
Strategy: Vault 94's corridors and flooded lower levels funnel Scorched into tight kill zones — use this to your advantage with AoE weapons like shotguns or explosives to clear rooms quickly. With Piercing Gaze active, don't count on stealth; instead, position yourself at doorways to control enemy flow and avoid being surrounded. In Uplink mode, protect the terminal during the uplink phase by clearing the room fully before activating it, then hold the choke point.

- Catch a Fish in the Ash Heap Region: Head to the river or ponds near The Rusty Pick or Belching Betty in the Ash Heap. A fishing pole is required; fish respawn quickly in this region.
- Eat a Fish: Craft or pick up raw fish from any fishing spot, then cook it at a cooking station; counts for both this challenge and any fish-eating objectives.
- Complete a Grunt Hunt (x2): Grunt Hunt is a daily side mission — check your map for the nearest active Grunt Hunt marker and run it twice.
- Kill a Radhog (x5): Radhogs spawn reliably along the roads near The Wayward and throughout the Forest; fast travel and clear nearby spawns.
- Kill a Rust Raider (x5): Rust Raiders appear at raider camps, particularly in the Ash Heap and Cranberry Bog. Rollins Work Camp and Uncanny Caverns are solid spots.
- Harvest a Firecap (x5): Firecaps grow near fires and hot springs in the Ash Heap and Mire — the ground around Blackwater Mine has several clusters.
